Officiating at ECSC

We are always looking to hire U.S. Soccer certified referees, but we are also committed to training from within. Our referee training program is designed to inspire young players to deepen their knowledge of the game and develop a lifelong love for soccer. By stepping into the role of an official, players grow as leaders, learn responsibility, and gain a new perspective on the sport. At the same time, the program helps build a stronger future for soccer by encouraging more players to pursue U.S. Soccer referee certification, ensuring that the next generation will have dedicated referees to support the game.

Junior Referees

Our Junior Referee Program gives players ages 11+ the opportunity to step into leadership roles on the field while learning the fundamentals of officiating. Junior referees are trained and supported as they gain experience refereeing U6 games, U8 games, and serving as assistant referees. The program helps them build confidence, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the game—all while serving as positive role models for our younger players.

ECSC Certified

Through our ECSC Referee Certification Program, participants complete an online course along with an in-person training session to prepare for officiating. Certified referees are equipped to referee U8 and U10 games, as well as serve as assistant referees at ECSC recreational matches.
