East Cherokee Soccer Club

PLEASE NOTE: ECSC will be adhering to US Soccer’s new age group mandates beginning with the 2026/27 soccer year.

 

ECSC offers recreational soccer programs designed to provide a fun, developmental, and positive environment for players of all skill levels. Our recreational league is available for players ages 2–16. Players are placed on teams and participate in a league format with weekly practices and games led by dedicated volunteer coaches and ECSC staff support.

 

Little Lions: Our Little Lions program is designed for players ages 2-4 and focuses on introducing young players to soccer through fun activities, skill development, and small-sided games in an encouraging environment led by ECSC staff coaches.

 

Uniforms: All uniforms (with the exception of shorts) are included in the cost of registration. Players are required to wear shin guards and bring a soccer ball and plenty of water to all practices and games.

 

Practices & Coaching: Practice schedules will vary by age group and team assignment. Volunteer coaches are an essential part of our program, and all coaches will receive support, resources, and access to coaching education opportunities throughout the season.

 

Schedules: Games for U12 and older may include interleague play with other local soccer clubs. Some minor travel may be required for away games. We anticipate approximately 7 or 8 games per season depending on division size and scheduling availability. Game days will take place on Saturdays only.

 

For the Fall 2026 season, practices are expected to begin the week of August 24th, with games beginning the weekend of September 12.

 

ECSC will observe Cherokee County Fall Break from September 21–27. The Fall season is expected to conclude the weekend of November 7, weather permitting.
